 About the Role

Amazon’s Network Operations Center (NOC) is the central command and control center for transportation execution across geographies like India, NA, and EU. The NOC ensures timely pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to fulfillment centers (FCs) and from FCs to carrier hubs.

The Transportation Specialist plays a critical role in problem-solving, exception handling, data analysis, and process automation to ensure seamless transportation and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a link between internal teams (Customer Service, Middle Mile, Line Haul, Fulfillment Centers, HR, Transport Program).

  • Handle escalations, analyze historical trends, and propose process changes.

  • Drive visibility tools, methods, and process improvements to enhance data accuracy and availability.

  • Take ownership of customer issues and initiate SOPs proactively.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, delivering clear reports and strategies.

  • Manage competing priorities with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Support a culture of ownership, learning, and collaboration.

  • Lead projects and deliver scalable solutions for operational excellence.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative/technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, etc.).

  • Hands-on experience with Excel.

  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL.

  • Understanding of process improvement techniques.
