About the Role

Amazon’s Transportation Operations Center (TOC) is the command and control hub for transportation execution across multiple geographies – India, North America, and EU. The TOC ensures on-time pick-ups and deliveries between vendors, fulfillment centers (FCs), and carrier hubs.

The Trans Ops Specialist (Transportation Representative) plays a critical role in managing inbound and outbound operations, resolving real-time logistics challenges, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate real-time communication between carriers, vendors, warehouses, and internal teams.

  • Handle Inbound Operations (vendor to FC delivery) and Outbound Operations (FC to customer hub delivery).

  • Monitor freight lifecycle, identify bottlenecks, and resolve exceptions.

  • Pull and analyze data using Excel, Access, SQL, and other tools for ad hoc reporting.

  • Develop and track performance metrics to drive improvements.

  • Support Amazon tech teams by scoping out business and functional requirements.

  • Escalate issues systematically and follow through until resolution.

  • Work in a 24×7 environment, ensuring timely customer service.

  • Prepare and present weekly reports highlighting key variances and performance trends.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.

  • 10–24 months of work experience.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written).

  • Proficiency in Advanced Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Logistics / Supply Chain.

  • Training in Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.

  • Proficiency in SQL.
